Tattersalls is a globally renowned thoroughbred auctioneer, offering over 10,000 horses annually across 15 international sales held at its Newmarket headquarters in England and at Fairyhouse in Ireland. As a premier facility catering to discerning clients, Tattersalls maintains exceptionally high standards across its entire estate — including its stable blocks.
When looking to refurbish part of the Fairyhouse site, Tattersalls turned to Degafloor for a resin flooring system that could meet both their aesthetic expectations and the performance requirements of a demanding, high-traffic environment.
Tattersalls needed a bespoke resin flooring solution that would offer:

Reliable slip resistance, even when wet
Seamless internal and external performance
A visually appealing, easily maintained finish
It was essential that the new flooring stood up to both the daily demands of stable life and fluctuating weather conditions — without compromising safety or cleanliness.
Degafloor, working alongside approved partner Larsen Contracts (Ireland) Ltd, was invited to assess the existing substrate and recommend a solution that could deliver both functionality and finish.
The Degafloor Full Broadcast System was specified and installed across the stable block floor, following a comprehensive preparation process. The heavily tamped concrete surface was first diamond ground and shot blasted, ensuring maximum bond strength.
The flooring system was applied in six key stages:
Primer
Scratch coat to level and smooth
Main resin system layer
Full broadcast of bauxite aggregate for enhanced grip
5–6. Two top coats of clear Degafloor MMA seal
The result is a seamless, slip-resistant, and ultra-durable floor that performs exceptionally well in both indoor and exposed outdoor areas — exactly what Tattersalls required.

The Degafloor Flake System used in commercial and retail environments where slip resistant flooring is a health and safety must-have. Day to day work environments means that many types of buildings will require flooring to installed at temperatures either approaching or below freezing point.
The Degafloor Quartz Trowelled (QT) System is a heavy-duty decorative methyl methacrylate (MMA) screed that’s trowel-applied and fast-curing. MMA flooring is ideal for demanding environments that require a decorative finish.
The Degafloor Full Broadcast system is rapidly becoming the flooring of choice for pubs, restaurants, and food processing plants because of its durability and ease of maintenance. The FB’s ability to cure in two hours reduces the time a business is shut and minimises labour costs.
